Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant decline of Rs5,400 on Thursday, following global market trends triggered by Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 US presidential election.
According to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs5,400, bringing it down to Rs276,800 in the local market.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs4,630, now standing at Rs237,311.
In the international market, the price of gold also experienced a sharp drop, falling by $65 to $2,662 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20.
In line with the decrease in gold prices, silver prices in Pakistan also dropped by Rs130, with the price per tola reaching Rs3,300.
