Gold prices in Pakistan jumped significantly as international bullion markets experienced an increase.
The rate for 24-carat gold per tola rose by Rs2,000, reaching Rs284,300 in the local markets.
Similarly, 10-gram gold saw an increase of Rs1,714, with the price now standing at Rs243,741.
This local surge followed a $22 rise in the international bullion market, where gold prices hit $2,748 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady in the local market. The rate for silver per tola held at Rs3,350, with the price for 10-gram silver unchanged at Rs2,872.08.
Yesterday, global and local markets saw gold prices decline for the second day in a row.
In the international bullion market, the price per ounce of gold dropped by $8 to reach $2,726.
Locally, the 24-carat gold per tola price decreased by Rs800 to Rs282,300, while 10-gram gold fell by Rs686 to Rs240,227.
In contrast to the drop in gold prices, silver per tola stayed stable at Rs3,350, with 10-gram silver remaining at Rs2,872.08.
