During a provincial cabinet meeting led by K-P Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the recent raid on the K-P House in Islamabad will be examined, with the cabinet anticipated to greenlight the legal response. In addition to this primary issue, the cabinet will address 18 other agenda items.
Previously, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) began sealing portions of the K-P House in Islamabad, citing breaches in building regulations. Several sections of the facility have already been closed as part of this enforcement effort. According to CDA sources, the decision stemmed from the management’s ongoing non-compliance with building codes.
The CDA issued numerous notices regarding the K-P House’s lease expiration, with the most recent notice for renewal sent on May 3 of this year. However, no action was taken by the K-P House administration. The sealing operation was carried out by Special Magistrate Sardar Muhammad Asif, along with Assistant Commissioner Abdullah and a CDA team.
Chief Minister Gandapur also reported that his personal belongings, including two iPhone 15 Pro Max devices, important documents, a wallet, and a licensed firearm, went missing from the K-P House during the D-Chowk protests. The loss of his phones has impacted his communication, as they contained essential contacts. The Inspector General of Police in Islamabad is investigating the incident at Gandapur’s request, as he seeks to recover his contacts.
