During a meeting with a VEON Group delegation in Islamabad today, he highlighted the government’s efforts to strengthen and advance the telecommunications sector. The Prime Minister mentioned ongoing initiatives aimed at launching 5G services to ensure faster and more reliable internet across Pakistan, supporting the vision of Digital Pakistan.

He emphasized the critical role of the telecom sector in advancing a cashless, digital economy and expressed Pakistan’s openness to collaborating with VEON Group in areas such as information technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence.

The delegation commended the government’s work towards economic stability, noting Pakistan’s growing appeal as a key investment destination in the IT and telecommunications industries.
