Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Admitted to Hospital for Health Check

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has been hospitalized for health concerns.

Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb shared an update on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, saying, “Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Sharif Medical City last night due to health issues. She had her thyroid examined.”

Aurangzeb added, “CM Maryam will, God willing, be discharged from Sharif Medical City soon, as her health has improved.”

It was reported that Ms. Sharif is dealing with a throat infection. Her upcoming trip to London, initially scheduled for this week, may be postponed depending on her recovery.
