Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant rise on Friday, pushing the price above Rs280,000 per tola. On the international market, gold also reached a milestone, surpassing $2,700 per ounce for the first time.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs3,000 per tola, bringing it to Rs280,900, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,572, now totaling Rs240,826.
In related news, gold prices globally continued to rise, with an increase of $30 during the day. According to the APGJSA, the international price of gold reached $2,712 per ounce.
The silver market also saw a boost, with the price of silver climbing to Rs3,100 per tola after a Rs50 increase.
Last month, gold prices in Pakistan hit a record high of Rs277,000 per tola, driven by notable gains in the international market.
